Kim Kardashian probably won’t be tuning in to the new season of “Mad Men” when it kicks off March 25. The small-screen reality siren has fired back at Don Draper himself, Jon Hamm, after comments he made about her in an interview.

The “Friends With Kids” actor recently opened up about the Kardashian sister and her predecessor, Paris Hilton, in an interview with Elle UK, according to UsMagazine.com.. Noting that their success “doesn’t make any sense,” he continued, “Whether it’s Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian or whoever, stupidity is certainly celebrated. Being a f—-ing idiot is a valuable commodity in this culture because you’re rewarded significantly.”

Well, Kardashian isn’t taking the jab in stride. On Monday, she took to Twitter to address his criticism. “I respect Jon and I am a firm believer that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and that not everyone takes the same path in life,” she wrote. “We’re all working hard and we all have to respect one another. Calling someone who runs their own businesses, is a part of a successful TV show, produces, writes, designs, and creates, ‘stupid,’ is in my opinion careless.”

For her part, Hilton has not addressed his comments, but instead has been busy tweeting about the new art studio she just built in her house.

This is not the first time that Kardashian has been criticized by a Hollywood A-lister who seemed perplexed by her rise to fame. In December, Daniel Craig expressed sentiments similar to Hamm’s.

“Look at the Kardashians, they’re worth millions,” he said. “I don’t think they were that badly off [financially] to begin with but now look at them. You see that and you think, ‘What, you mean all I have to do is behave like a f—-ing idiot on television and then you’ll pay me millions?’

“I’m not judging it — well, I am, obviously,” he said. “I think there’s a lot to be said for keeping your own counsel. … It’s not about being afraid to be public with your emotions or about who you are and what you stand for. But if you sell it off, it’s gone. You can’t buy it back — you can’t buy your privacy back. ‘Ooh I want to be alone.’ F—- you. We’ve been in your living room. We were at your birth. You filmed it for us and showed us the placenta and now you want some privacy?”

'Hunger Games' Actress Sees Katniss In Jennifer Lawrence

Jennifer Lawrence is Katniss Everdeen, though not every fan agreed prior to the actress’ casting almost a full year ago. Was her hair dark enough? Was she young enough? These were the nitpicky details that some readers of “The Hunger Games” latched onto, but based on increasing buzz about the film’s fantastic quality, those worries should be out the door by now — and if they’re not, Amandla Stenberg is here to convince you of Lawrence’s worthiness.

“I think they’re kind of similar,” Stenberg, who plays fan-favorite tribute Rue in the film, told MTV News on the “Hunger Games” red carpet in Los Angeles on Monday. “Jen has some of Katniss’ qualities in her. She can be kind of sarcastic, and I think Jen has that same sense of humor.”

Stenberg certainly had plenty of chances to see for herself just how much Lawrence and Everdeen have in common. As Rue, the young actress spent most of her screen time opposite the Oscar-nominated “Winter’s Bone” actress, playing her first ally in the deadly competition. Indeed, Rue is at the center of what may very well be the most anticipated scene in the film for “Hunger Games” readers.

“I want fans to be happy with it,” Stenberg said of her all-too-crucial spoiler-heavy scene. “But being on set though, even when we were shooting such a serious scene, everyone was lighthearted and having fun. We tried to keep it a little happy on set.”

For Stenberg, it wasn’t hard to stay happy, considering that she had read “The Hunger Games” a whopping four times before even landing the part of Rue. As a fan of the books, Stenberg admitted that she was pretty nervous going into the audition process, even though she clearly nailed the tryout in the end.

“I went to [director Gary Ross’] house covered in mud with leaves and twigs in my hair and everything, so I looked like Rue,” she recalled. “I think I made a good impression, because it went really well. I was very nervous though because I didn’t hear back for a couple weeks, but then I got a call from my agent saying I got the part. I started screaming and running around!”

'The Voice' Sends Home Six More Singers In Battle Rounds

Last week on “The Voice,” the battle rounds began and Monday night (March 12), they continued with a bang as judges Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton chose six more hopefuls to continue on to the live shows … and sent six others home.

With a recording contract with Universal Republic Records on the line, the stakes couldn’t be higher for this diverse group of mega-talented singers.

Team Christina
First up was Team Xtina and two of her most soulful vocalists, hotel clerk Sera Hill and 51-year-old Geoff McBride. Gathered around the piano, the pair wowed Xtina with their powerhouse voices and the coach seemed in her element working with two seasoned vocalists.

Sera was paired with mentor Jewel, who complimented the emotion she brought to Aretha Franklin’s classic “Chain of Fools.” Geoff was teamed with Lionel Richie and seemed at first in awe of the pop legend. “When Geoff walked in, his delivery was unbelievable,” Richie said. “[But] he’s got to give us the personality, he’s got to give us the character.”

Adam felt Geoff was more “in the moment” during their face-off in “The Voice’s” pop boxing ring, but said that Hill put on “an excellent show.”

Christina complimented Sera’s technique throughout both the rehearsals and the final performance, saying she admired the preciseness of her vocal runs. Ultimately, Sera’s ability to hit her notes and execute her ad libs was enough to carry her though the tough showdown and get Xtina’s vote of approval.

For her second pairing, Christina pitted her two most unique voices, Lindsey Pavao and Lee Koch, against each other to tackle Nirvana’s “Heart Shaped Box.” Jewel encouraged Lee to really learn the song (Lindsey is a big Nirvana fan and already knew the song inside out) and make Kurt Cobain’s highly personal lyrics his own.

Their performance was “inventive and original,” according to Cee Lo. Adam chose some different adjectives, calling their take “delightfully creepy,” while complimenting the pair on delivering a truly unique take on Nirvana’s song. Impressed with the character and improvement she brought to her vocal, Aguilera chose Lindsey. “What tipped the scales was that Lindsey is extremely versatile in her vocal approach,” Aguilera said, “and I can’t wait to see what becomes of her.”

Team Blake
“I chose Lex versus Charlotte for a very simple reason: their personalities,” Shelton said when he announced that outgoing Jersey girl Charlotte Sometimes would hit the ring against the more quiet Lex Land to sing Foster the People’s hit “Pumped Up Kicks.”

Lex is admittedly very shy, and Blake wanted to see if being paired with the much more extroverted Charlotte would bring her out of her shell — something he believes she needs if she wants to succeed on the show. And while Lex did rise to the challenge by stepping out of her comfort zone and bringing her distinct and sultry sound to the song, she also had some pitch problems. Charlotte didn’t have any such issues, and Shelton chose her more consistent vocal performance to move forward.

Team Cee Lo
For his first battle of the night, Cee Lo went with two very different singers, gravel-voiced rocker Juliet Simms and folk singer Sarah Golden, singing Rod Stewart’s “Stay With Me.”

Sarah was teamed with Babyface, who supported Sarah’s choice to keep close to her simple, folky roots. “The only way I’m going to beat Juliet is to stay true to who I am,” Sarah admitted.

“The only thing I would tell you is to pick your spots,” mentor Ne-Yo told Juliet, recommending she not over-sing the song, but rather pick the right moments to let her unique voice shine.

Juliet delivered the raspy vocal Cee Lo expected, and while Blake was a fan of how Sarah’s unique, near-country delivery complimented the band’s shredding guitars, the other judges urged Cee Lo to go with Juliet … which he did.

Cee Lo’s final pairing of the night was an emotional one — the music Renaissance man paired Jamar Rogers and Jamie Lono to take on Foreigner’s “I Want to Know What Love Is.” Though the two had become good friends, in a winner-take-all competition like “The Voice,” it’s every man for himself.

Jamie was having trouble with his voice cracking throughout rehearsals, and mentor Babyface advised him to “do what your voice tells you.”

Paired with Ne-Yo, Jamar got the encouragement he needed. Ne-Yo told the young singer that a song like “I Want to Know What Love Is” is all about the emotion the singer brings to it. And Jamar certainly has plenty of life experience to draw upon — the young man was once a heavy drug user who overcame his addiction, but as a result of his drug use contracted HIV. “If I win this, it will be a victory for anyone who has ever overcome anything,” Jamar said on his way into the battle ring.

Jamar’s strong vocal performance won over Adam and Christina, while Jamie’s style earned Blake’s vote. But the final decision was Cee Lo’s, and he chose Jamar to move forward to the live shows.

Both singers were left in tears singing the other’s praises during their interviews following their performance.

Team Adam
Whitney Myer, who got all four judges to turn their chairs during the blind auditions, found her nerves wracked immediately when Adam paired her with Kim Yarbrough, a far more seasoned vocalist who is two decades her senior. Both Adam and mentor Alanis Morissette encouraged the young singer to not even try to overpower Yarbrough but instead opt to spotlight the strong personality in her own voice.

Kim’s mentor Robin Thicke pushed for her to embrace the emotion of the song and not focus so intently on showing off her already-developed chops.

“I truly felt like I was watching one of those diva concerts,” Blake said of the vocal Olympics that was Kim and Whitney’s performance of Mary J. Blige’s “No More Drama.” Unable to be of any assistance, Blake declared, “I pick Carson [Daly].”

Meanwhile, both Christina and Cee Lo picked Kim, feeling the song better fit Kim’s more mature vocal. It was a tough decision that clearly weighed on him heavily, but Adam ultimately sided with his fellow judges and chose Kim.

To call Kid Cudi’s WZRD’s a passion project would be an understatement of downright sorcerous proportions. From the moment he and producer/bandmate Dot da Genius conceived the idea of making a rock record — which recently inspired a spate of irate tweets accusing his label of failing to support said record — Cudi hasn’t exactly been shy about expressing his feelings about the band, its self-titled album or the success they’ve had in spite of pretty much everything.

“We were recording the last Man on the Moon album at Cudi’s house, and we just finished ‘Trapped in my Mind,’ which is the last song on the album,” Dot explained to MTV News last week. “Cudi wanted to implement guitar. So we got a guitar in the building, he picked it up, started playing and fell in love immediately. And, like a week later, I went back to his house and he was like, ‘Yo, we got to do this.’ ”

“I was like, ‘Let’s start a band,’ ” Cudi laughed. ” ‘It’s going to be called WZRD and it’s going to be awesome and it’s going to sell 70,000-plus records its first week, with no promo.’ ”

And, yes, that last jab is pretty telling. Because though Cudi backtracked a bit on his previous assessments of Universal Republic’s promotional efforts for WZRD, he’s still clearly enjoying proving everyone wrong. And those first-week sales figures (and #3 debut, the highest of any new album last week) are only adding to that enjoyment.

“I think it definitely proves a point, that there was a method to my madness, that the kids are out there and they want the music. It’s just like a that’s-what-I-f—-ing thought-type of thing,” he said. “Not just to the label or whatever — I’m not going to say the label had no faith in the project — just kind of to the naysayers and people that didn’t really believe in it.

“It’s not Man on the Moon numbers, but, sh— man, it’s more than we thought,” he continued. “To debut at #3 on the charts, that’s dope, that’s some Man on the Moon sh—. I debuted #3 last album and #4 on the first album, so, you know, it’s dope.”

Real Spit:: In the studio, Mobb Deep is all work and no play. For the group’s upcoming full-length album, Prodigy claims to have recorded a ton of songs — way more than an album’s worth of material. Rather than let them go to waste, Prodigy decided to gift-wrap 26 of those tracks and package them as his latest mixtape, H.N.I.C. 3.

“The process of recording the H.N.I.C. 3 mixtape, it’s basically when I’m working on an album, I’m working on hundreds of songs,” Prodigy told Mixtape Daily. “Mobb Deep, that’s just how we work: thousands and thousands of songs. When you listen to the mixtape, you’re hearing all the songs that didn’t make the album that’s about to come out, but it’s still good enough for representing Prodigy, representing H.N.I.C., representing Infamous.”

With a bulk of the production provided by Mobb Deep’s Havoc, Prodigy goes on a lyrical tear. The Queens MC balances out his features well. French Montana, Waka Flocka Flame, Cory Gunz and Lady Luck all show up to assist, but Pee remains the “Head N—-a in Charge” throughout.

On “That’s Nasty,” Prodigy shows flashes of the young version of himself that threatened to “Stab your brain with your nose bone” on his mid-’90s classic “Shook Ones Pt. II.” Over the bluesy Havoc-produced track, he starts, “Blood dribbling, while I stand back giggling/ Brass knuckles on my fingers and pain tingling.”

The murderous theme carries throughout. On “Slaughterhouse,” Prodigy imagines bringing death to a government cooperative who takes the stand in court, and on “Make a Hole,” he recounts his days in jail, writing rhymes that he was unable to record.

Now that he’s home, however, Prodigy doesn’t seem to be letting an opportunity pass him by. Maybe the thousands of songs he says he has in the stash is an exaggeration, but no matter the number, they all seem to be potent.

» “Lay Low”: “This is one of the first joints that I did when I came home from my little bid that I did, and French came through the studio in Queens and showed some love. We made a banger.”

» “Great Spitters”: “That song right there is crazy. That’s produced by Havoc. You wouldn’t even think that song was produced by Havoc because Hav is the type of producer that is extremely versatile. To me, this one of those songs that’s got potential to last for a very long time. It’s not one of those trendy rap beats: It’s one of those real soulful songs. Those lyrics is on point, the beat is on point. It’s gonna last a very long time.

When <a href=”http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/lady_gaga/artist.jhtml”>Lady Gaga</a> officially launches her <a href=”/news/articles/1677562/lady-gaga-born-this-way-foundation.jhtml”>Born This Way Foundation</a> on February 29, she’ll be joined by the one-time queen of daytime TV, Oprah Winfrey. <div class=”player-placeholder right” id=”vid:683376.id:1669247” width=”240” height=”211”></div> The singer and former talk-show host will be joined by Mother Monster’s own mother, Cynthia Germanotta, at the Harvard University event to kick off the foundation, which aims to inspire young people. The affair will be captured for a future episode of “Oprah’s Next Chapter” on her OWN network. ”My mother and I have initiated a passion project. We call it the <a href=”/news/articles/1673633/lady-gaga-born-this-way-foundation.jhtml”>Born This Way Foundation</a>,” Gaga said in a statement last November about the foundation, which takes its name from her hit single and album. “Together we hope to establish a standard of Bravery and Kindness, as well as a community worldwide that protects and nurtures others in the face of bullying and abandonment.” The foundation will work with a number of partners, including the John D. & Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, the California Endowment and the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University. According to the statement, the foundation will focus on “youth empowerment and equality by addressing issues like self-confidence, well-being, anti-bullying, mentoring and career development and will utilize digital mobilization as one of the means to create positive change.” ”My daughter’s foundation was born out of her passion to create a better world where people are kinder and nicer to one another and are accepted for who they are, regardless of how different they may be,” Mama Germanotta said. “She has experienced many of the struggles that our youth encounter today, and identifies with the lasting effects they can have without proper support. Together, we look forward to creating a new movement that will engage and empower youth and accept them as valuable members of our society.”

A campaign to stop the nearly 30-year, brutal rule of African militia leader Joseph Kony became a viral sensation this week. <a href=”http://kony2012.s3-website-us-east-1.amazonaws.com” target=”_blank”>”Kony 2012,”</a> started by the group Invisible Children, aims to make Kony’s face so famous that authorities will finally be able to arrest him and try him for his crimes. A 30-minute <a href=”http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4MnpzG5Sqc” target=”_blank”>documentary</a> released on Monday is one of the keys to the campaign, and as of Thursday it had gotten more than 26 million views. The video details the atrocities carried out by Kony and his Lord’s Resistance Army. The campaign appears to be working, as at one point on Wednesday, Invisible Children and #stopkony were trending higher on Twitter than Peyton Manning or the new iPad. Since 1987, human rights officials say Kony has forcefully abducted more than 60,000 children to be soldiers in his army and reportedly raped, mutilated and killed civilians in Uganda, the Democratic Republic of Congo and South Sudan and displaced more than 2 million people. The leader is wanted for committing atrocities by the International Criminal Court and is being hunted down by 100 U.S. Special Forces advisers and local troops in four Central African nations, according to the <a href=”http://bit.ly/AyrDyz”>Associated Press.</a> Kony 2012 is an effort to capture Kony and disarm the LRA before a reported window of opportunity closes. One way it plans to do that is by encouraging users to directly message a variety of stars to make use of their Twitter ubiquity to get the word out. Among those listed on the site are: Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Angelina Jolie, Oprah Winfrey, George Clooney, Jay-Z, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Ryan Seacrest and Ellen DeGeneres, along with a number of major policymakers. Angelina Jolie was up early this morning to take a stroll around New Orleans’s French Quarter with her children. She was hand in hand with Zahara Jolie-Pitt, Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, and Pax Jolie-Pitt for the a.m. outing. Their walk came after Brad and Angelina went to the Make It Right gala at the Hyatt last night along with famous friends like Ellen DeGeneres, Kanye West, and Aziz Ansari. Brad has been in Louisiana for the last week, spending time with Zahara and her siblings Shiloh and Maddox. Angelina, however, started last week in NYC. Angelina Jolie attended Women in the World, a Big Apple summit hosted by Newsweek and The Daily Beast editor Tina Brown. Angelina spoke about the females in her own life while there, commenting that her daughters, Shiloh, Vivienne, and Zahara, teach her the true “strength of women.”
